Wellness Care for Your Pet

To help your pet live their longest, healthiest life, we recommend bringing them in for a wellness visit once a year. Since your pet’s health is always our highest priority, we offer a comprehensive wellness program that is designed to meet all of their most essential needs. Pet wellness care also serves as a preventive measure against various illnesses and diseases that your companion may encounter during their lifetime. Our dedicated veterinarian and support team here in Richmond firmly believe that routine wellness exams and related treatments are key to keeping your pet as healthy as possible.

What the Wellness Exam Entails

Pet exams begin with a physical, where we check their heart, temperature, eyes, ears, nose, mouth/teeth, skin/coat, and joints for unusual changes. We will discuss your pet’s life at home, including their habits, behavior, and diet, and determine the most appropriate treatments for maintaining their health.

Wellness exams are the best time for you to bring up any concerns you have about your pet’s health, so we can address them directly. For yearly visits, also be sure to bring a stool sample so that we can check for intestinal parasites. Once we have examined your pet and judged them to be in good health, we can administer their vaccinations. If you are interested in having your pet microchipped, we can also offer this service during your pet’s wellness visit.
