Frank and Renee Skipworth

We are Frank and Renee Skipworth, and together, we own Skipworth Veterinary Clinic. We have been married since 1989, which was Frank’s second year of vet school at Auburn University. We have two children, Lauren, and Carter. Lauren was born in 1993 and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. We are very thankful that she took an interest in the family business and joined our team at the clinic. Carter was born in 1997 and is currently practicing law in Richmond.

As a family, we love to worship at Southland Christian Church, vacation in Hilton Head, SC, and watch ball games together. We are huge Kentucky Wildcats fans!

We practiced for 15 years in a mixed practice and decided to open our own clinic in 2008. With Renee managing the business part, Dr. Frank could focus on meeting the needs of our clients and patients. In the Fall of 2017, we realized our dream and moved our practice to a building that we own.

We love what we do and could not do it without the support of all our loyal clients. We cannot thank them enough for trusting us with the healthcare needs of their beloved pets. We also could not do it without the dedication of our wonderful staff. They show up every day and work tirelessly to make sure each pet entrusted to our care is treated like a member of our family.

Dr. Taylor Adams

Hi! I am Taylor Adams! I am a WKU alumnus and received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University. I am originally from Irvine, KY… but now reside in Richmond with my fiancé, our cat Eli, and our two dogs, Capri and Bentley! Animals have always been my passion, and I cannot wait to get to know you and help care for your pets!

Rhonda Tate

Hello, I’m Rhonda, the receptionist and “go-to” person for the team of Skipworth Veterinary Clinic. I have been working with Dr. Skipworth since 1992. While I don’t work on the technical side of animal care, I take great pride in strengthening the bond between pets and their owners. I enjoy getting to know our clients and their families. If I don’t know the answer to a question, I will find it! My husband, Darrell, and I adore spoiling our 12 grandchildren in our spare time.

Kendra Harrison

Hi! I’m Kendra. I’m originally from the mountains of Pike County and I relocated to Richmond to attend Eastern Kentucky University. I graduated in 2013 from EKU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. I, of course, love animals and began working for the Skipworths in March 2014 as a veterinary assistant. I spend most of my spare time hanging out with a handsome “dood” named Brady. I also love to spend time with my friends and family. I look forward every day to meeting our new clients and seeing our established clients and their fur babies.

Larken Riley

Hey! I’m Larken. I was born and raised right here in Madison County. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 2019. I started working for the Skipworth’s in August of 2014 and absolutely love every minute that I am at the clinic! I enjoy working with not only the patients but also the clients. I look forward to every single day and do my best to help provide the best care possible for your fur babies. In my free time, I enjoy riding my horses and competing in barrel racing. I also love spending time with my favorite two boys, DJ and Redrock.

Alyssa Beaty

Hi! I’m Alyssa and I recently graduated from the University of Kentucky in December 2016, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I plan to use my degree in psychology, and my love for animals, to help better serve the clients and patients at Skipworth Veterinary Clinic. In my spare time, I love to go hiking with my golden retriever, Kylo, and getting into as many adventures as I can!

Lauren Skipworth

Hi! I’m Lauren, and this is my sweet boy, Booker. I am the daughter of Dr. Frank and Renee. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in the spring of 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in education. I decided to pursue the family business and joined the team at Skipworth Veterinary Clinic in the spring of 2017. Veterinary medicine has been a huge part of our family my entire life, and I am excited to now have my own role in meeting the needs of our amazing patients and clients.

Stacy Brockman

Hello! I’m Stacy, Rhonda’s right hand in the reception area. I am a retired teacher who loves people and pets, so this is the perfect job for me. In my spare time I enjoy travelling and spending time with my husband, Brian, and our two sons, Grant and Blake.

Jessie Agee

Hey there! I am Jessie and this is my buddy “Hunter.” I came to Kentucky to attend Eastern Kentucky University, where I graduated with a bachelor degree in animal science and agriculture business. My husband and I own and manage a cow and calf operation here in Madison County. You’ll always find us working hard on the farm or enjoying quality time with our twin boys Colton and Chase, usually dirt biking or exploring the great outdoors. In my spare time, you’ll find me training or riding my horses. My family isn’t complete without my other two dogs, Ruger and Zoey, and a silly cat named Whiskers. I love them with all my heart just like I love the clients and patients here at Skipworth Veterinary Clinic! It gives me much joy to spend each day providing the best care and experience to everyone and their beloved fur babies!

Megan Auxier

Hi! My name is Megan and I’m originally from Springfield, Ohio. I just recently got married and moved to Richmond with my husband in November of 2019. I graduated with my bachelor’s in pre-veterinary medicine in 2008 and went on to get my registered veterinary technician license in 2013. I’ve been a part of veterinary medicine since 2006 and love every minute. My husband and I currently have 2 dogs and 5 chickens. When I get free time, I enjoy exploring new places and trying good food! I’m excited to be a part of the Skipworth team!

Callie Anderson

Hello! I’m Callie. I was born and raised right here in Richmond, KY. I recently graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Science. I started working at SVC during 2018 and have learned so much during my time here! In my free time, I love to read books and go hiking with my dog, Wren! Animals have always been a huge part of my life and I have always had a love for veterinary medicine. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies!

Emily Caudill

Hi! My name is Emily Caudill, and I’m from Berea, Kentucky. I’ve been working for the Skipworth’s since April 2021 and have enjoyed every minute of it! I’m currently a student at Eastern Kentucky University, majoring in Animal Studies with a minor in Psychology. In the future, I hope to use my love for animals to assist my community by training service animals!

Logan Hudson

Hi, I’m Logan Hudson! I’m originally from Richmond, where I attended Madison Central and now EKU. My major is Animal Science and Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a concentration in Agriculture. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to meet everyone’s pets that mean so much to not only them but us as well. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, watch my brothers play ball, and be with my 3 boxers, Niya, Oakley, and Patches! I look forward to growing my knowledge in the veterinary field and getting to know each client and patient I have the opportunity to work with!

Hey! I’m Hannah. I graduated from Medical Career Technician College in 2017. I was a dental assistant for 4 years and decided to try something new. I began working for the Skipworth’s in May of 2021. I love animals and working at the clinic! I enjoy meeting the clients and their fur babies every day. My spare time goes to my one-year-old son, Blue, and our four dogs.

Sadie Alexander

Hey, y’all- I’m Sadie! I was born and raised right here in Richmond, KY. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around all kinds of animals my whole life. When I’m not working at the clinic, you can find me at church. The one thing I love more than being a vet tech is Jesus! My husband, Paul, and I are the youth pastors at LIFEChurch here in Richmond. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and all our fur babies at home. I look forward to meeting all of our amazing clients and doing what I can for your fur babies!

Mattie Gross

Hey! I’m Mattie, and this is my little nugget, Daisy! I was born and raised here in Richmond. I recently graduated from Madison Central at the end of May 2022. I’m excited to attend Eastern Kentucky University in the Fall, and I am majoring in Vet Science! I’ve been working at SVC since August of 2021! I am an all-time animal lover! In my free time I spend time with my family, friends, and their fur babies! I also enjoy reading, going to church, and spending time outside! I look forward to learning new things and meeting new clients every day.

Hello! My name is Skylar Stagner. I was born and raised right here in Richmond Kentucky. I have been working at SVC since June 2020 and I love it. When I am not at the clinic, I enjoy hanging with friends and family, as well as playing with my dogs, Molly and Mission. I am looking forward to meeting you and your sweet pets!

Hi, I’m Reagan Clark! I’m originally from Richmond and I attend EKU. My major is Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a concentration in agriculture and a minor in chemistry. In my free time, I love to go to the lake, hang out with friends, and be with my Australian Shepherd, Bama. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to work with all the clients and patients and to be a part of such a great team at SVC!

Caity Sammons

Hello! My name is Caity, I joined the team at Skipworth in February of 2023 and have loved every second of it! I am originally from Grayson, KY, but my love for animals brought me here. When I am not at the clinic you can find me riding my horses, hiking with my dogs, or hanging out with my animals — if they are with me, it is always a good time. I am so blessed to have this opportunity to work for Skipworth Vet Clinic and look forward to meeting all your kiddos!

Hi, I am Allie! I am originally from Pikeville, KY, but I am attending EKU until I graduate in May 2025. I am majoring in biomedical science with a minor in chemistry and a concentration in pre-veterinarian medicine. In my extra time, I like to read and spend time with my family, friends, and my fur babies! I am looking forward to meeting each one of you while I further my education in veterinary medicine!
